Not everyone has the desire or ability to fork over the thousands of dollars that top-end home cardio equipment can set you back. But just because you’re on a budget doesn’t mean you should have to settle for junk. We’ve done the research and come up with a list of some of the best budget priced home cardio equipment.

Obviously, there are tradeoffs and compromises when purchasing budget-friendly equipment. You’ll have to do without the large, flat-screen displays and other ‘bells and whistles’. But these cardio machines can help you get a good workout from home.

Thanks to the small running surface it has a small footprint so it doesn’t require a lot of space. Some limitations, but overall the machine provides excellent value for the price.

As you’d expect at this price point, the TR150 lacks many of the features of more expensive models but it’s a decent machine for the money. It has a top speed of 10 MPH which should be adequate for all but the most advanced runners

One caveat we’d offer is that the stride length is only 15.5″ – so this wouldn’t be a great option for taller users.

Niceday Elliptical Machine - $499.99

The Niceday Elliptical is utilizes a magnetic-resistance system that requires no external electricity – there’s no need to plug it in. It’s extremely quiet, so it’s a great option for those with housemates. It’s comes almost fully-assembled (they claim 90%) and has a lifetime warranty on all parts. Unlike the Sunny Fitness SF-E3912, it offers no pre-programmed workouts – something to keep in mind if that’s even a little important to you.

  • 16lb flywheel with 16 levels of magnetic resistance
  • Maximum user weight of 400lbs (although we’ve seen reviews by larger users who cast some doubt on this)

Yosuda Magnetic Rowing Machine - $284.32

The Yosuda rower is a very quiet machine and smooth machine with its all magnetic resistance and smooth-sliding seat. Not a lot of features (as you’d expect at this price) but it does have an LCD display to track workout metrics, a large tablet/device holder, and transport wheels. One thing we like about this bargain rower is it’s built surprisingly sturdy.

  • Four balance stabilizers to help make sure it’s stable and wobble-free

Two things we especially like about this affordable rower is its extra-long 48-inch slide rail (which allows it to accommodate users with up to 48″ inseam) and it’s space-saving foldable design.
