It’s Holiday Season…which means we all have a lot on our plates. This time of year it can sometimes be difficult to find time to make it to the gym. To help you stay fit during this hectic season we’ve compiled a few online bodyweight workouts that you can do at home when you have some free time.
We’re sharing 6 total online bodyweight workouts – 2 each in three categories – total body, upper body, and lower body. In each category we selected two workouts that can accommodate exercisers of all fitness levels. We selected routines that only require 45 minutes or less so you can grab a workout when you’re short on time.
Also – each of these trainers have extensive YouTube channels featuring a series of workouts. So if you get a great workout from one of these videos, be sure to check out the trainer’s other workouts!
Total Body Workouts
Like many online workouts, this 30-minute routine has one of the exercisers performing a modified workout that features easier versions of some of the movements. What we especially like about this workout is that it also has an exerciser doing modified movements geared to more advanced exercisers. This makes it easy to get a great workout regardless of your fitness level.
This workout may seem to be a bit intense for beginner exercisers (naming it INTENSE FULL BODY CRUSHER probably doesn’t help!) but we love it’s ‘realistic’ view of a workout. The trainers aren’t afraid to take a quick break themselves when they need to take a breath – which gives viewers the confidence to also take a break if needed. It’s a healthy attitude to a workout where the goal is to do your best – not what others expect.
Lower Body Workouts
Only 20 minutes long, this quick workout still does a great job of targeting all your lower body muscles and core. Adding some dumbbells can make it even more of a challenging strength-building routine.
This 30-minute lower body exercise routine may not seem quite as ‘intense’ as our other featured workout, but don’t be fooled – it still does a great job of of targeting your complete lower body while also getting your heart pumping.
Upper Body Workouts
This 40-minute upper body workout does a great job of building your muscle & strength while also getting your heart rate up for a fat-burning cardiovascular workout.
This 43-minute upper body & core workout may seem like a less intense upper body workout than our other featured video – but don’t be fooled. It contains the exercises and moves that build strength & muscle performed at a pace that gives your cardiovascular system a workout.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of web sites out there giving unreliable fitness advice. But there are also some great ones which we rely on when writing our articles. A few great resources for information you may want to also view include the National Institutes of Heath, the Mayo Clinic, and the World Health Organization.
